Dafre is a Marketplace accelerator project created by the Sylius team to explore and demonstrate how complex multi-vendor commerce can be built on top of Sylius Plus Marketplace Suite.
Unlike a traditional demo store, Dafre focuses on the dynamics of a marketplace. It showcases how vendors, products, orders, and customers coexist within a shared platform, while still operating with clear boundaries and responsibilities. The project reflects real marketplace challenges such as vendor autonomy, order splitting, commission models, and marketplace-specific back-office workflows.
Dafre is intentionally shared as working code. It allows teams to study how marketplace logic is modeled, how responsibilities are separated between the platform owner and vendors, and how Sylius Plus features can be orchestrated to support scalable multi-vendor operations. The project highlights design decisions and implementation patterns that are difficult to understand from documentation alone.
Dafre is meant to be explored, adapted, and extended. Teams can reuse its structure as a starting point for their own marketplace projects, validate architectural decisions early, and accelerate proofs of concept without reinventing core marketplace mechanics.
Dafre is available as an add-on to the Sylius Plus Marketplace Suite. When using the Marketplace Suite, teams can extend it with the Dafre accelerator to gain access to a production-oriented marketplace reference project that complements the core marketplace features of Sylius Plus.
